The Patriot and Captain Tony Grillo report active spring Atlantic waters. Generally clear visibility and flat-calm seas give way to nonstop action. Kingfish run in the 4-30 lb range with a few stand outs above 40 lbs. Dolphin make welcome surprise visits with equally delectable Sea Bream (Porgy). Cobia remain consistent well within take-home limits. Sharks provide minimal interference and, for some, not a dinner plate favorite, Bonita promise a great fight from hook-on to haul-in. Amberjack catch remains consistent and impressive with most above 15-25 lbs and many above 30-40 lbs. Memorable catches of large Grouper, Red Snapper and Mangrove Snapper abound. Baits also plentiful with Menhaden (Pogies), Spots and Croakers filling live bait wells early and often.
